Your future contribution

We’re looking for a hands-on, impact-driven Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to guide and evolve our product and technology functions. This role is designed for a confident and proactive leader who thrives in dynamic environments and is deeply comfortable with scaling technology in the travel industry. You should have experience aligning product and engineering roadmaps with real-time customer and business needs, while leading cultural, operational, and technological change to modernize platforms and services.

Your experience should be well-balanced between B2B and B2C environments, demonstrating a strong commitment to exceptional customer outcomes—whether for partners, businesses, or individual consumers. You will excel working in a matrix organization where core resources operate in teams you do not directly lead but for which you still take responsibility for the outcomes.

You should be confident navigating high transactional environments with time-sensitive user journeys and have a proven track record of building scalable, sustainable systems, especially in industries subject to seasonal or event-driven volume volatility. You will play a critical role in maintaining a resilient and reliable platform that is central and unique within the wider HomeToGo group.

Note on location : The role can be based remotely within Europe but will require regular travel to Berlin and/or Zurich for close collaboration with leadership and teams.

How you’ll add value

• Drive the end-to-end operational execution of product and technology delivery with a focus on speed, scale, and reliability.
• Partner with group, business line stakeholders, and functional leads to convert opportunities into results.
• Collaborate across teams to foster continuous improvement and shared success.
• Build out OKR-driven operational processes to ensure growth and scalability of platforms and services.
• Leverage your experience with platforms like SAP, Salesforce, AWS, Jira, etc.
• Ensure delivery consistency across global teams with clear accountability, priorities, and results focus, aligned with a public company environment.
• Act as a bridge between commercial goals and technical execution.

You’ll be successful in this role if you

• Have a proven track record of fast delivery—delivering results quickly without compromising quality.
• Possess deep operational experience in tech-enabled product companies, with hands-on leadership in technology transformation and acceleration—experience in travel tech is a plus but not required.
• Have strong commercial acumen and high-tech fluency, capable of translating between business and technical teams clearly.
• Are accountable and outcome-oriented, taking responsibility and inspiring others.
• Are a collaborative leader and communicator, building trust across functions through transparency.
• Are a systemic thinker, able to identify patterns and bottlenecks and address daily technical operations.
• Have experience managing complex, time-dependent decisions confidently.
• Embrace a results-oriented mentality—favoring iterative learning over perfection.
• Remain calm and resilient under pressure, guiding teams through uncertainty and managing incidents effectively.
• Maintain high standards, an inclusive mindset, and aim for excellence while fostering collaboration and supporting others.
