We are looking for an Interim Head of Product will take full ownership of the product function, driving strategy, execution, and alignment across the business. This is a hands-on leadership role suited for a commercially-minded product executive with a track record in SaaS, deep experience working with PE stakeholders, and the ability to deliver clarity and momentum in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Product Leadership & Strategy
- Own and refine the product strategy and roadmap in alignment with commercial and operational goals.
- Establish and communicate clear product priorities based on customer needs, market trends, and business objectives.
- Partner with the executive team to ensure product is aligned with growth, customer success, and M&A strategies.
- Execution & Delivery
- Lead the product team to execute effectively on delivery plans.
- Improve delivery processes, including agile best practices, backlog prioritization, and cross-functional alignment.
- Ensure timely release of high-quality features that drive customer and revenue impact.
- Team & Structure
- Assess, coach, and support the existing product team; recommend and execute organizational changes where needed.
- Bridge product, engineering, sales, and marketing to ensure tight coordination and execution.
- Stakeholder Management
- Engage directly with PE sponsors, board members, and key enterprise customers.
- Provide data-driven reporting on product performance, roadmap progress, and strategic initiatives.
- Champion a customer-centric approach; engage with customers directly to validate needs and iterate on product-market fit.
- Leverage market intelligence to ensure competitive positioning and differentiated value.
Key Requirements
- Proven experience as a Head of Product / VP Product in a B2B SaaS environment, ideally within a PE-backed business.
- Strong understanding of product strategy, lifecycle management, and agile delivery in a scale-up context.
- Demonstrated ability to drive results under compressed timeframes and during periods of organizational change.
- Exceptional stakeholder communication skills – comfortable with board-level reporting and executive engagement.
- Commercial acumen: comfortable working at the intersection of product, go-to-market, and financial outcomes.
- Hands-on, pragmatic, and able to lead by example in a lean or evolving team.
