Job summary

Impossible Cloud in Hamburg seeks a Chief of Staff to sit beside the CEO, shaping the direction of a European challenger to hyperscalers. You own the operating rhythm, lead cross-functional initiatives across product, commercial, and finance, and ensure decisions become actions.

TL;DR: Consulting teached you to be right. Now you are the one who makes it happen. As Chief of Staff you sit next to the CEO on the decisions that set the direction of a European challenger to the hyperscalers, and you stay with each one until it shows up in the numbers. You own the operating rhythm of the company, lead the projects that cut across product, commercial and finance.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Own the operating rhythm of the company, from leadership meetings and priority setting to follow-through on every decision, so the founders spend their time on the calls only they can make.
• Lead the most important strategic projects across product, commercial and finance, from first hypothesis to implemented decision, with the full mandate of the founders behind you.
• Take our GPU and AI inference products to market with the founders and the product, sales and partner leads. Define target segments, go-to-market strategy and the partner motion until the revenue is there and beyond.
• Run financing and investor work alongside the founders, including financial models, board and investor materials and the preparation for the hardest questions in the room.
• Turn the founders' strategy into priorities, owners and deadlines for the leadership team, and hold the company to them.

WHAT YOU BRING

• Two to five years at McKinsey, BCG, Bain or a comparable firm, an outstanding academic record and a verifiable history of early promotion and top reviews.
• You are the bar-raiser that partners put on the unstructured problem. You have owned one end to end, taken it past the recommendation into implementation, and can show the result. You can explain how you structured it and what you personally contributed.
• You think in numbers. You have built financial models and commercial analyses, for example on go-to-market, pricing or sales performance, that changed a client's results, and they hold up when an investor pushes on them.
• You get up to speed on technical domains in weeks. You can explain how GPU compute or cloud infrastructure creates value for a customer, or show how you did the same in a comparable field.
• AI-native working style: you use AI tools such as Claude to move faster and work smarter. This is a baseline expectation at Impossible Cloud, not a differentiator.
• Professional proficiency in English and German.
