We are partnering with a well established, private equity-backed software company seeking a driven Chief Financial Officer to join the leadership team. This is a pivotal role in a business poised for significant expansion through an ambitious buy-and-build strategy, followed by a strategic exit.

The Role

As CFO, you will be a critical partner to the CEO and Board, driving financial strategy, operational efficiency, and strategic execution. In addition to the core CFO responsibilities, this role demands a leader with experience in integration, transformation, and value realization through exit.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end finance function including FP&A, accounting, cash flow management, risk, and compliance.
• Lead financial planning and analysis to drive data-led decision-making and strategic prioritization.
• Partner with the CEO and investors to shape and execute the value creation plan.
• Lead financial and operational integration of acquisitions, aligning systems, reporting, processes, and cultures.
• Drive transformation initiatives across the business to optimize scalability, margins, and operational excellence.
• Support M&A processes including due diligence, valuation, and post-deal integration.
• Prepare the business for exit, including professionalization of reporting, KPIs, investor materials, and management of due diligence processes.
• Act as a strategic thought partner across the broader executive team to align on growth, investment, and talent decisions.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Proven track record as CFO or senior finance executive in a PE-backed software/SaaS business.
• Deep experience in buy-and-build environments, ideally having completed and multiple acquisitions.
• Strong understanding of integration management across systems, reporting, teams, and culture.
• Demonstrated experience in leading business or financial transformation projects.
• Track record of successful exits
• Technically strong but also commercially astute, able to influence strategy and drive cross-functional alignment.
• Excellent stakeholder management, able to interface with investors, lenders, auditors, and senior leadership teams.
