Privatal is currently working with a German private equity investor to find a new group CFO for a Software and SaaS business with the HQ in Frankfurt.

Profile Overview

I am looking for a commercially driven, hands-on CFO who brings the following experience and expertise:

• Deep sector experience in enterprise software, SaaS, or other B2B software models—preferably in a multi-entity environment.
• Buy-and-build expertise, with a strong track record in integrating acquisitions, driving consolidation, and unlocking synergies in post-merger settings.
• Hands-on M&A exposure, including sourcing, evaluating, and executing transactions as part of an active inorganic growth strategy; prior exit experience is highly advantageous.
• Executive finance leadership, ideally as CFO or divisional CFO for 7+ years within high-growth or scaling businesses.
• Board-level communication, with the ability to confidently present financials and KPIs to investors, board members, lenders, and other key stakeholders.
• Private equity experience is an absolute must, with an understanding of reporting frameworks, KPIs, and exit readiness planning.
• Fluency in both German and English is essential.
