For our client in Berlin – Europe’s leading marketing platform for local businesses – we are looking for a:

Chief Executive Officer (CEO) – VC-backed portfolio company

About the company

The all-in-one solution integrates influencer marketing, social media management, customer reviews, and local advertising into one intuitive app. At this pivotal stage of profitable company development, we are seeking a visionary, entrepreneurial CEO to drive the next phase of scaling. Together, we aim to prepare for a successful exit within the next few years – a unique chance for the right candidate to experience an entrepreneurial journey.

The role

You will transition into the CEO role, replacing the founders after 6 years building the company. The current CEO will continue as a shareholder and board member and provide mentoring in the transition phase. As new CEO, you will define the strategic direction of the company and provide leadership to an ambitious team of 15 employees to build the foundation for a successful exit.

Key responsibilities

  • Strategic leadership: Define and execute alphin’s growth strategy and position the company for an industry exit within 1-3 years.
  • Team development: Build and mentor a high-performing team, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability and performance.
  • Operational excellence: Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring efficiency and scalability.
  • Stakeholder management: Maintain strong relationships with investors, partners, and key stakeholders.
  • Product innovation: Enhance the platform based on client feedback and market trends.

Ideal candidate

  • Experience: Several years of relevant experience in strategic consulting, a senior role in a startup or other strong leadership exposure, ideally within marketing automation experience
  • Motivation: Strong drive to execute and deliver fast results
  • Language: German (native), English (fluent)
  • Strategic thinker: Ability to develop and implement effective growth strategies.
  • Market insight: Understanding of the B2B SaaS landscape and needs of local businesses
  • Leadership: Exceptional interpersonal skills, capable of inspiring diverse teams to excellence.
  • Adaptability: Comfortable navigating the challenges of a fast-paced startup environment.
