Our team of about 120 professionals includes Data Engineers, Cloud Engineers, DevOps Engineers, Data Scientists, and Architects, based in Singapore, Italy, and Bonn. Our responsibilities include creating and maintaining robust data platforms and pipelines for accurate and efficient data processing and analysis. How will you contribute to the success of DHL Data & Analytics?

DHL has established a global big data architecture aligned with the Group's digitalization strategy. We seek a strategic and innovative tech leader to further develop DHL Group's Data & Analytics platforms.

You will:

• Advise on establishing Big Data solutions, including Lakehouse and Data Engineering, using the latest technology trends.
• Shape and refine service offerings around cloud data platforms as technologies evolve.
• Drive innovation to enhance Data Lake Platforms, developing standards and roadmaps.
• Engage in business development through architectural discussions, understanding client needs, and designing technical solutions on Cloud for data engineering, lakes, BI, and AI.
• Serve as a subject matter expert and strategic advisor to senior management on Cloud and Data Management topics.
• Lead internal platform and IT teams on cloud data Lakehouse platforms, emerging technologies, and requirements for adoption and scaling.
• Manage the transition of on-premise data to the Cloud, ensuring compatibility and integration.
• Analyze best practices and emerging cloud-based Data & Analytics concepts, developing relevant designs for DHL.
• Lead PoCs, prototypes, and MVPs for innovative solutions on cloud (Azure, GCP) and Big Data Technologies (Hadoop, Spark, Delta Lake, Iceberg).
• Mentor and coach management and technical teams in Cloud, Data Management, analytics, and AI technologies.

Do you have what it takes?

• University degree in Computer Science, IT, or similar.
• Over 10 years of relevant experience, including at least 5 years in a technical data engineering leadership role designing scalable Big Data architectures.
• Strong knowledge of Cloud Data Architecture, streaming analytics, lambda architecture, and delta lakes.
• Deep understanding of Data Lakes, Data Engineering, and Machine Learning lifecycle management.
• Proficiency in programming languages like Python, Scala, Rust, etc.
• Experience with DevOps and Scrum best practices.
• Proven ability to analyze strategies, identify trends, and implement large-scale data platforms.
• Experience managing complex multi-project environments and collaborating with high-level stakeholders, including C-suite executives.
• Strong communication skills to convey complex technical solutions effectively.
