Job Summary

The Tetra Pak Food Packaging Safety & Interaction department in Stuttgart, Germany, is responsible for assessing food safety and food contact compliance of Tetra Pak’s global packaging and filling equipment portfolio.

This is a temporary position based in Stuttgart, Germany or Lund, Sweden to strengthen our dynamic team.

What you will do

As a Chemical Compliance Expert, your key responsibilities include:

• Supporting compliance assessments of Tetra Pak’s products concerning chemical regulations in Europe (such as REACh, CLP, RoHS, POP) and relevant legislation in the US and China.
• Monitoring new and existing chemical regulations across these regions and analyzing their impact on Tetra Pak’s portfolio.
• Ensuring compliance in collaboration with development projects and supply chain teams in key markets.
• Developing and maintaining documentation for compliance and impact assessments.
• Serving as a knowledgeable contact for chemical regulation questions internally and externally.

We believe you have

• A background in food chemistry, chemistry, or a related scientific field; a PhD is preferred.
• Knowledge of chemical regulations (REACh, CLP, RoHS, POP) is advantageous.
• An affinity for legal texts and regulatory topics.
• Excellent communication skills in English (fluent); German language skills are a plus.
• Experience in regulatory guidance and impact assessment.
• Proficiency with MS Office.
• A proactive, flexible, accurate, and creative approach; team-oriented with a strong personal drive.
