As a Characterization Engineer (f/m/d) Power Devices you will be responsible for the execution of characterization tasks and defining the characterization planning to reach functional coverage. This will be done in alignment with multiple departments. In this role you will report directly to our Regional Characterization Lead Europe in Lampertheim.

About the Position:
  • Planning and execution of characterization- and verification tasks on power semiconductors (e.g. SiC-Diodes, SiC-MOSFETs, Schottky-Diodes, IGBTs, etc.)

  • Studying and understanding the specification of the device under tests

  • Defining the characterization- and verification plan to reach 100% functional coverage

  • Defining the test specification in close collaboration with the design developers and product marketing

  • Reporting failures, proposing solutions and following their resolutions

  • Developing and running characterization- and verification setups

  • Preparing and leading design verification reviews

  • Measurement data analysis and report generation for data sheets and design reports

About You:
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in power electronics, electrical engineering or similar fields

  • Experience in defining characterization plans, creating test set-ups and automating parameter testing, preparing and presenting detailed characterization and verification reviews

  • Experienced in electrical measurements with: Oscilloscopes, Parameter-Analyzer, PXI-Systems, etc.

  • Basic knowledge in electrical measurement circuit, setup design and PCB design

  • Solid scripting skills (Python, MS Office, Matlab, Labview, C/ C++ / C# )

  • Good communication skills (both German and English)
