About our client

Our client stands as Europe's foremost manufacturer of wear parts and components for agricultural technology, supported by a well-established private equity firm known for its successful history of scaling up businesses in the midcap sector. Presently, the company is in search of a driven and pragmatic CFO to accompany them on their journey of growth. The position will be based at the company's headquarters in the Marburg region of Germany and will provide some flexibility for remote work. What the job involves

• Serve as a key partner to the CEO and board of directors
• Contribute actively to shape the future of the company and own the change
• Prepare budget and mid-term plan
• Enhance and oversee all aspects of accounting, controlling, treasury, legal, and tax functions to optimise efficiency and accuracy
• Oversee monthly reporting, analysing the financial performance of the company and providing insights into any deviations from the established plan
• Develop and implement financial performance indicators in line with the company's corporate strategy and business plan
• Lead and oversee M&A processes, ensuring smooth financial post-merger integration
• Design a robust funding strategy and financial business plan aligned with organisational objectives, negotiate credit facilities, loans and other sources of funding
• Elaborate, implement and oversee tax and financial optimisation strategies
• Forecast and monitor the cash flow, monitor NWC, managing payables and receivables balances, as well as overseeing inventory alongside production and sales colleagues
• Play a vital role in the company's digital transformation, develop and execute the digitalisation roadmap covering all core and support processes, manage all group IT functions
• Advocate for data literacy and foster a data-driven culture, leveraging insights to drive business outcomes

Who we are looking for

• University degree in business administration (finance, accounting, or related)
• Extensive and diverse professional background as a CFO in a small- to mid-cap company
• Significant experience in the manufacturing sector
• Track record of M&A transactions and post-merger integrations
• Strategic and commercially minded, with sound judgement and a hands-on approach
• Empathetic, inspiring leadership style, acting like a true team player
• Experience within a PE portfolio company is appreciated
• Fluency in both German and English
