Founded in Berlin by Jacqueline Mikuta and Klemens Weiss, MIKUTA began in 2017 with a jewelry line and expanded into women's ready-to-wear in 2019. Today, MIKUTA is an independent fashion brand known for effortless design, premium feel, and a distinct point of view.

Our Team is spread across Europe, with a Studio Office in Berlin and a production Office in northern Portugal.

ABOUT THE JOB

We’re expanding rapidly, and to take over our Finance Team, we’re looking for a CFO who can address our current financial challenges, ensure transparency, and build a solid foundation for strategic growth.

As a key partner to the leadership team, you’ll work to create accurate cash flow forecasts, proactively analyze and mitigate risks, and drive financial strategy across a complex, multi-entity structure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the financial department and report financial KPI´s to the CEO, Board and Shareholders

  • Develop and implement accurate cash flow forecasting to improve financial visibility and stability, manage working capital.

  • Proactively identify financial risks and opportunities through rigorous internal analysis and diligence, work on tax & legal compliance (e.g. identify retail store legal/business model).

  • Provide strategic oversight to shift the finance function from reactive to proactive, ensuring long-term planning.

  • Design and execute budgeting processes to identify overspending and strategically allocate resources by overviewing forecasts and scenarios.

  • Enhance transparency and drive optimization on profitability across entities and the consolidated group, providing actionable insights to founders and management.

  • Manage the financial complexity of a mother entity with European subsidiaries (Germany, Portugal, Netherlands, UK) and support future expansion into additional markets.

  • Partner with Core GM1-GM3 Departments and ensuring inventory management in purchasing, cost control in logistics, efficiency in marketing.

  • Oversee reporting processes at both entity and group levels, ensuring clarity on profitability and financial health, support in company strategic topics such as future investment rounds

    ABOUT YOU

    • Proven experience as a CFO, Head of Finance, or similar role in Startups or Scale-ups within the fashion, lifestyle, product, or e-commerce sector (D2C)

    • Strong expertise in cash flow management, budgeting, and financial strategy in complex multi-entity structures.

    • Comfortable navigating international markets, with experience working across multiple subsidiaries and legal frameworks.

    • Exceptional English and German skills both verbal & written

    • Analytical and detail-oriented, with the ability to identify hidden risks and opportunities through data.

    • Strategic thinker who can shift finance operations from reactive to proactive.

    • Exceptional leadership and communication skills, capable of effectively collaborating with diverse teams and stakeholders.
