As BusRight’s first in-house finance leader, you’ll set the foundation for a company that’s been doubling revenue year over year, driving capital allocation strategy, guiding investor relations, and partnering with the leadership team to fuel smart, scalable growth.
This is a player-coach role that blends strategic, cross-functional leadership with hands-on execution in an early-stage environment. We’re looking for a financial leader with strong judgment across financial planning, SaaS metrics, capital deployment, and who can motivate a team through storytelling. Here are some key priorities that you’ll lead:
You’ll kick off your morning with a 1:1 with the CEO to walk through updated runway projections based on shifts in our sales pipeline. Next, you’re jumping into a working session with the VP of Engineering to compare planned vs. actual spend and help shape hiring priorities that align with our budget and growth velocity.
Then, you’re finalizing month-end numbers in QuickBooks, syncing with department heads to align operating plans - like scaling our Customer Success team - with financial targets that keep us on track toward sustainable growth.
By the afternoon, you’re refreshing our real-time KPI dashboard, joining a product strategy session to advise on quote-to-cash timelines, and building out early slides for an upcoming board meeting. You might wrap up the day modeling capital allocation tradeoffs: how would extending runway vs. accelerating go-to-market investment affect our 2026 goals?
This role lives at the intersection of execution and strategy, where spreadsheets meet storytelling, and where risk management fuels enduring growth. At BusRight, you won’t just be closing the books, you’ll be writing the next chapter.
