Job Summary
The CFO is a strategic partner of the business and will oversee the preparation of financial statements and reviews the financial and operating statements with key management personnel while leading the finance team.
Duties
- Lead the financial strategy and planning process: to support long-term business objectives, integrating financial insights with operational and commercial goals.
- Deliver timely, accurate, and insightful financial reporting, budgets, and forecasts: to guide executive decision-making and ensure alignment with CARIB’s strategic vision.
- Provide forward-looking financial recommendations: to identify growth opportunities, enhance profitability, and support investment in innovation and regional expansion.
- Ensure timely and accurate submission of financial and statistical reports: to the Board, Managing Director, Sector CFO, and other stakeholders, fostering transparency and accountability.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and statutory requirements, including the Eastern Caribbean Securities Regulatory Commission (ECSRC), local financial reporting standards in alignment with IFRS, the Inland Revenue Department of St. Kitts and Nevis, and any other applicable government or industry regulations.
- Performs all other duties as assigned as needed and assigned.
Qualifications and Experience
- ACCA certified or any other related professional qualification (e.g. CPA, CA)
- Minimum of 10 years' senior-level experience in a similar capacity, preferably within the manufacturing industry
- Proven experience in financial leadership including strategic planning, financial reporting, budgeting and cost management.
