Qualifikationen

• Mindestens 2 Jahre relevante Berufserfahrung in einem kundenorientierten Umfeld.
• Fließend in Englisch und Französisch, zusätzliche Sprachen von Vorteil.

Job Share : Full-time (38.5 hours per week), limited contract for one year / maternity cover

Salary : The salary and benefit package depend upon qualifications and experience

Description

FLOCERT is looking for a business-oriented person who is willing to coordinate and to administer the Fairtrade certification and audits of companies in assigned countries.

The ability to deal with high profile traders and the availability to travel to assigned countries to perform Fairtrade audits is required. Part of the role is to ensure centralized and efficient audit planning for Europe.

The attention to detail, willingness to learn and teamwork spirit are essential assets on this position. The person will be part of a multicultural team which is responsible for the certification of Fairtrade customers in Europe.

Your responsibilities

• Act as account manager for assigned customers
• Perform evaluations of audit reports against Fairtrade trade standards
• Perform Fairtrade audits of customers in assigned countries
• Communicate actively with certified customers and assist them with all necessary information including trade certification related questions
• Instruct customers on Fairtrade requirements
• Participate in projects as team member
• Assist in the selection, evaluation and training of auditors
• Assist in constant improvement of certification processes

Handling new clients / applications

• Manage the application process of new customers in the assigned region and languages
• Communicate actively with applicants and assist them with all necessary information including trade certification related questions
• Support the team in communicating with existing customers as well perform administrative tasks relating to new ones
• Contribute to quality improvement of the FLOCERT processes, especially the application process for Fairtrade certification
• Distribute new customers to analysts once permission to trade has been sent out
• Support the invoicing process of new as well as existing customers

Your qualifications, experience and skills

• University level education (B.A. or equivalent) in a relevant subject (business, agronomy, economics, food science etc.)
• At least 2 years of related professional work experience in an office and customer orientated environment
• Work experience of more than 1 year in certification and / or coordination in the following fields : Fairtrade certification, organic certification, social accountability certification / auditing, economic auditing, verification, relevant supply chains, sustainability, food processing and / or any other relevant business.
• Fluency in English and French language (verbal and written)
• Strong dedication towards customer service
• Excellent communication skills and experience in dealing with different cultures
• Very good MS Office skills
• Flexible, pro-active and hard-working work style
• Team player with excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
• Motivation for Fairtrade
• Additional fluent language skills (verbal and written) in German, Spanish, Italian and / or Dutch would be an advantage
• Experience with customer relationship management tools is an asset
• Business experience in international trade would be supportive
• Work experience in food processing industry is considered advantageous
• Work experience with clients in the region and knowledge on the Fairtrade trade standard would be a nice-to-have
