NCA is seeking motivated, talented, and aspirational mid-career professionals who aspire to partner with NCA to search for, acquire, and lead a small or medium-sized enterprise as Chief Executive Officer.

As an NCA Searcher, you will lead a professional search lasting up to 24 months to acquire a small to midsized company. During this process, you will have access to financial and business support from NCA, along with an attractive incentive package comprising a base salary and vested shares in the acquired company, further supporting your entrepreneurial journey.

• The partnership between the program and successful candidates is defined by several agreements and is not an employment relationship. During the search phase (up to 24 months), NCA provides a budget to cover living expenses.

SEARCHER RESPONSIBILITIES

• Establish a search process aiming to generate sufficient deal flow to find a business to acquire according to predefined criteria.
• Manage the acquisition process with support from our experienced Investment Management team.
• Assume the CEO role of the newly acquired business.
• Proactively generate and evaluate strategic growth options and develop long-term business strategies and 100-day plans.
• Grow the business's top line through impactful marketing and sales initiatives.
• Review product/service offerings, portfolio strategies, and brand positioning; identify gaps and implement improvements.
• Manage geographical expansions when required, preparing and executing market entry strategies.
• Ensure efficiency and profitable growth.

MUST HAVE REQUIREMENTS

• 10+ years of professional experience.
• Academic achievement (Executive MBA or MBA preferred).
• At least 5 years in leadership roles managing multiple teams across various geographies.
• Over 10 years of proven experience in running and growing businesses or business units in Germany.
• P&L responsibility.
• Strategic vision for a sector or industry.
• Strong motivation towards entrepreneurship.
• Fluent in English and German.

SELECTION PROCESS

• Selected candidates will undergo multiple in-depth interviews, online assessments, present a business case, and participate in a jury review of their investment thesis over several weeks.
• Webinars will be held for candidates to gather more information and meet the NCA team.
• The final assessment with the jury will take place in July 2025.
