As part of our Inorganic Colors R&D team, you’ll play a key role in developing and optimizing new products for the automotive and architectural glazing sectors. This is a hands-on lab-based role ideal for early-career scientists eager to grow in a collaborative, international environment.

Main tasks:

  • Design, conduct and evaluate complex lab trials for current R&D projects
  • Characterize materials using various analytical methods such as SEM, XRD, XRF, thermal analysis, rheometry
  • Optimize processes by evaluating raw materials, products and test methods
  • Adapt products and technical solutions to meet customer specifications
  • Cooperate closely with colleagues and production facilities worldwide to support existing products or implement newly developed ones
  • Document, interpret, and present test results and ideas both internally and externally

Required Skills:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Inorganic Chemistry or a related technical field.
  • A professional experience of 1-2 years preferably in research and development of glass, glass ceramics or ceramics.
  • Knowledge of materials analysis and validation using techniques such as scanning electron microscopy, XRD, XRF, thermal analysis, hot stage microscopy and dilatometry
  • Communication skills, systematic way of working, analytical thinking, time management, ability to work in a team, organizational skills, intercultural competence
  • Proficiency in English (written and oral) and communication skills in German to at least B2 level to communicate with the German speaking team
