Job Description

RiseSmart’s Transition service is an alternative to traditional Outplacement — an effective and efficient transition management solution focused on what transitioning professionals need most: a new job. The Career Coach supports laid-off employees in their job search via video, telephone, and email. The Coach liaises with other RiseSmart service providers such as resume writers, job lead specialists, and technical support. Additionally, the Coach provides expert guidance on job search strategies, including mock interviews, interview preparation, offer evaluation, salary negotiation coaching, networking best practices, and other support as needed.

Desired Skills

• 3+ years experience coaching professionals through all aspects of a job search
• Diverse professional background, including corporate experience and coaching
• Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred
• Experience coaching technical professionals highly desired
• Technical recruiting background highly desired

Other Requirements

• Excellent written and oral communication, listening, multitasking, and organizational skills
• Strong rapport-building skills — a natural ability to make clients feel cared about
• Empathy, positivity, and motivation skills
• Proficiency in managing administrative tasks such as detailed note-taking and dashboard management
• Ability to maintain efficiency and high performance standards while ensuring client satisfaction
