Your new role

You will join our Carbon Capture Centre of Competence and work on innovative projects that promote carbon-neutral energy and products. Your responsibilities include solving technical challenges across various industries (energy-from-waste, cement, chemicals) and collaborating closely with clients and global experts in our Carbon Capture Centre of Competence at Ramboll.

Your key responsibilities will be:

1. Address complex technical or business issues for clients in the Carbon Capture domain.
2. Serve as a senior consultant (m/f/d) and support the centre’s position as a thought leader.
3. Manage engineering projects, including planning, organizing, and resource coordination to meet scope, time, quality, and budget objectives.
4. Engage in business development activities as needed.

You will tackle technical challenges in various industries and work with colleagues worldwide in Germany, Denmark, Switzerland, Sweden, UK, Australia, Singapore, and the US. Your role is vital in bridging the gap between current practices and sustainable development goals in hard-to-abate sectors.

About you

We support your growth from day one, and for this role, certain qualifications and skills are essential:

• A PhD or MSc in a relevant scientific, technical, or engineering field
• At least 5 years of post-degree work experience
• Strong technical knowledge and experience in carbon capture processes
• Hands-on experience with energy and chemical modeling tools (e.g., Aspen, Promax, Thermoflex)
• Experience with a Carbon Capture technology vendor or engineering firm
• Engineering management experience
• Project management skills are a plus
• Ability to manage ambiguity, opportunities, and risks
• Customer-oriented, reliable, and well-organized
• Intercultural competence and international experience
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with various stakeholders
