CAPE Environmental Management, Inc. (CAPE) is hiring Project Managers (PM I, PM II, and Sr. PM) to lead federal environmental remediation and construction projects across the country. This is a remote position with up to 50% travel to project sites as needed. What You’ll Do
Manage all phases of federal remediation and construction projects using PMBOK principles.
Lead cross-functional project teams including engineers, scientists, subcontractors, and field staff.
Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and with the highest safety and quality standards.
Coordinate with government stakeholders and ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
Perform project scheduling, cost control, procurement, subcontractor oversight, and risk management.
Use industry tools including Primavera P6, MS Project, and JAMIS Prime for project tracking.
What We’re Looking For
Experience managing environmental remediation projects, especially hazardous waste/Superfund cleanup.
Federal project experience required—EPA, DoD, USACE, NAVFAC, AFCEC, or similar agencies.
Strong skills in field execution, stakeholder communication, quality control, and change management.
Ability to travel up to 50% for project execution (including potential OCONUS work).
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Geology, Construction Management, or related field.
PMP, PE, or PG certification (required for Sr. PM).
3+ years’ experience in remediation/construction for PM I; 5+ years for PM II/Sr. PM.
OSHA 30, HAZWOPER 40 (with annual refreshers), and USACE CQM preferred.
Compensation
$90,000 – $150,000/year, depending on experience and PM level. Includes a full benefits package.
