Job summary

Lingua Learn is seeking a freelance Cantonese language teacher to deliver online lessons for adults and children across CEFR levels A1 to C1.

The ideal candidate holds a degree and an accredited teaching qualification, with at least five years of language teaching experience and proven ability to assess all four language skills, preferably using CEFR references.

Lessons are online, conducted via Zoom, and you will adapt materials for diverse learners in a multicultural remote team.

Qualifications

• Must hold a degree-level qualification with an accredited teaching certificate.
• Minimum 5 years of teaching experience in language education.
• Experience assessing all four language skills (Listening, Reading, Writing, Speaking) using CEFR references.
• Ability to teach both adults and children; remote online delivery via Zoom.
• Excellent command of English (minimum B1) required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver online Cantonese lessons to adults and kids.
• Assess students' progress across all four skills using CEFR as reference.

Job description

Lingua Learn requires a freelance Cantonese language teacher to teach online.

The students will be adults and kids ranging in levels from complete beginners to advanced (CEFR A1 to C1). Lessons may be delivered in English, so an excellent command of English is also required (B1 minimum).

The successful candidate must be educated to a degree level with an accredited teaching qualification and a minimum of 5 years of experience in teaching language. Furthermore, the candidate must be experienced in assessing students’ language proficiency in all 4 skills (Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking), preferably using CEFR Levels as a reference.
