Camera Operator (m/f/d)

YOUR CHALLENGE

As a Camera Operator, you are in a multifaceted role that involves video production, post-production, studio work, and live directing for our streamed events at coliquio. You have the flexibility of a hybrid working model: from your home office in Germany and at our locations in Munich. This role requires coming into the office several days a week and accommodating flexible work hours.

WHAT TO EXPECT

1. Video Production: Plan, shoot, and edit video content for various projects, including interviews, documentaries, and event coverage.
2. Technical Support: Provide technical support for live streaming, including setup, operation, troubleshooting.
3. Live directing: Use broadcast mixers, media key/fill software, and streaming platforms to direct live events.
4. Collaboration: Work closely with the editorial team to develop ideas and execute projects, ensuring content meets company needs.
5. Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and organize video equipment, ensuring good condition and availability.
6. Quality Control: Ensure video and audio meet quality standards, including framing, lighting, and sound levels.
7. Documentation: Use project management tools to track projects and document technical issues and resolutions.
8. Guidance: Provide technical guidance to staff.
9. Working hours: Vary depending on projects, including evenings, weekends, and potential travel for offsite productions.

WHAT YOU BRING

1. Educational Background: Degree or diploma in media production, broadcasting, graphic design, or relevant experience.
2. Technical Skills: Proficiency with audiovisual equipment, troubleshooting, cameras, lighting, microphones, broadcast mixers (familiarity with Roland VR-120HD, Blackmagic ATEM Mini Extreme ISO is a plus).
3. Editing Skills: Proficiency with Apple Final Cut Pro and Apple Motion; familiarity with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign is a plus.
4. Creativity: Strong storytelling skills and attention to detail.
5. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written skills in German (C1) and English (B2); ability to convey technical information clearly.
6. Organizational Skills: Strong, detail-oriented, and capable of meeting deadlines.
7. Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing requirements and willingness to learn new skills.
