The Role

Located on the ground floor of Fotografiska Berlin, our Cafe + Bar & Bakery invites you to immerse yourself in a world where art, music, and all-day dining converge for members and guests to experience.

Our Cafe Team are ambassadors of service excellence, understanding that exceeding and maintaining service expectations is crucial to the success of the Cafe & Bakery operations at Fotografiska. They represent service excellence by providing kind, knowledgeable, and humble hospitality, alongside warmth and grace in every interaction. Reporting to the Cafe & Bar Managers, the role entails all aspects of bakery and cafe, counter, bar, and floor service operations, representing Fotografiska with hospitality and generosity in every interaction.

Requirements

• 3+ years experience as a Server, Bartender, or Barista in luxury hospitality, food, and beverage environments
• Deep knowledge of all Cafe + Bar & Bakery food and beverage menu items, ensuring high standards of quality in all delivered items
• Thorough knowledge of drink menus including coffee, tea, non-alcoholic beverages, wines, beers, and spirits, with the ability to articulate these to guests thoughtfully
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment and support other areas as needed to maintain operational integrity
• Solution-oriented with attention to detail, committed to creating memorable experiences for members and guests
• Ability to foster a positive work environment, working with diverse teams from various backgrounds with teamwork and mutual respect
• Knowledge of craft and classic cocktails, and understanding of old world and new world wines
• Participation in scheduled training for product knowledge, growth, and professionalism
• Proficiency in POS systems for orders and billing
• Cash handling skills and professional communication with management
• Timely and accurate execution of service orders to ensure memorable service
• Daily, weekly, and monthly setup and breakdown of cafe operations
• Ability to work under deadlines, being self-motivated and proactive, with problem-solving skills
• Responsibility and initiative in resolving issues, with clear communication to members, guests, and leadership
• Multitasking skills across greeting, food service, cocktail making, wine service, and operational tasks to ensure seamless guest experiences
• Attention to detail in bar maintenance, equipment upkeep, and checklist completion
• Clear communication on orders and alerting management to low stock items
• Availability for shifts Monday through Sunday, with both AM and PM shifts, including potential event support
• Adherence to all health and safety regulations, company policies, and service standards
