Job description

AI in general and Computer Vision in particular are major game changers and enablers of state-of-the-art solutions for future timekeeping services. Computer vision is reshaping the boundaries of what is possible in sports performance analysis and judging. In this position, you will be responsible for developing Computer Vision models, applications, and systems.

We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Computer Vision Engineer to join our team in developing cutting-edge solutions. As a Computer Vision Engineer, you will design, develop, and implement Computer Vision algorithms and models that drive our products and services.

Responsibilities

1. Design and develop Computer Vision algorithms and models for applications such as image and video processing, object detection, and tracking in sports.
2. Design and implement scalable, efficient data pipelines to ingest, process, and store large volumes of visual data.
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Computer Vision components into larger systems and products.
4. Develop and maintain high-quality, well-documented code, ensuring compliance with coding standards.
5. Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in Computer Vision and Machine Learning, applying this knowledge to improve our products.
6. Work closely with Data Engineers and Software Engineers to ensure seamless integration of data-driven components.

Professional requirements

1. Willing to work at our Leipzig office daily (no remote option).
2. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Data Engineering, or a related field.
3. Strong understanding of Computer Vision concepts, including image processing, object detection, and tracking.
4. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and C++.
5. Experience with Computer Vision and Deep Learning libraries/frameworks like OpenCV, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
6. Familiarity with Machine Learning and Deep Learning techniques.
7. Excellent problem-solving, attention to detail, and teamwork skills.
8. Strong communication and documentation skills.
9. Availability for about 20% travel abroad.

Languages

1. Fluent in English.
2. French or German is an advantage.
