Evident Europe GmbH in Münster seeks a senior software engineer to develop and maintain high-quality software components in C++20/23 and Rust. You will work in an agile environment with a strong emphasis on CI/CD, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver cutting-edge microscopy solutions and adopt new technologies for continued innovation.

Formación

• A completed degree in Computer Science or comparable field.
• At least 5 years of hands-on software development experience.
• Familiarity with agile methodologies (Scrum, FDD) and CI/CD practices.
• Hands-on experience with agentic AI in software development (AI coding assistants).
• Ability to critically assess AI-generated C++ and Rust code for correctness, security and performance.
• Nice to have: experience building agentic workflows or tooling and integrating them into CI/CD pipelines.

Your Tasks

• Develop and maintain high-quality software components written in modern languages such asC++20/23 and Rust, using AI coding assistants and agents in your daily work

• Contribute to an agile development environment with a strong focus oncontinuous integration and deployment/delivery

• Collaborate withcross-functional teamsto design, implement, and test software tailored to cutting-edge microscopy solutions

• Explore and integrate new technologies to keep our platform at the forefront of innovation
  

Requirements

• Excellent proficiency inC++orRust(experience with both is preferred)

• Englishskills(fluent in writing and speaking) to communicate effectively with global teams and stakeholders

• Familiarity with software architecture, design patterns, and modern development tools

• Hands-on experience with agentic AI in software development, e.g. AI coding assistants and agents (such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code or Cursor), prompt and context engineering, and AI-supported code review and testing

• Ability to critically assess AI-generated C++ and Rust code for correctness, security and performance (e.g. memory safety, concurrency, undefined behaviour)

• Nice to have: experience building agentic workflows or tooling (e.g. LLM APIs, tool calling, MCP, multi-agent patterns) and integrating them into CI/CD pipeline

• Academic Background:A completed degree in Computer Science or a comparable field

• Professional Experience:At least5 yearsof hands-on experience in software development for application software or large-scale professional systems

• Familiarity withagile methodologies(e.g. Scrum, FDD) andCI/CD practices

• Open-minded and adaptable, with asolution-oriented mindsetand readiness to embrace changing technologies, AI-driven ways of working and market demands

• Aconstructive team playerwho values collaboration and contributes by proposing thoughtful, actionable solutions instead of focusing on criticism
