As a C++ Engineer (m/f/d) you participate in developing user facing applications running on our fitness machines: take ownership of the architecture, deliver new features, and support real-world service needs. • Team Collaboration: You work as part of a team, taking responsibility for various tasks including UI programming, architecture design, technology evaluation, testing, documentation, and deployment.

• Feature Development: You implement new features and streamline existing systems, collaborating closely with colleagues of various fields (including sports science, electrical engineering, and site reliability engineering).

• Software Development: You develop high-quality software using C++ and additional technologies like Qt/QML, CMake or conan.

• Knowledge Sharing: You love to share your knowledge and responsibilities and support other team members.

Your fitness level

• C++ Enthusiasm: You are passionate about modern C++. Knowledge in the following technologies are a plus: Qt, Linux, bash scripting, CMake, Build/CI tooling, Docker.

• Analytical Skills: You are able to break down complex problems, abstract key concepts, identify patterns, and understand underlying principles to derive effective solutions and make informed decisions. Having a good background in mathematics or related fields is a plus.

• Software design and architecture abilities: You possess a strong ability and enthusiasm for bringing a maintainable structure into application and business logic heavy software. As a plus you are familiar with concepts like domain-driven design, various software architecture/design patterns and are able to understand the underlying concepts and adapt them to your use cases.

• Eager Learner: You are always interested in learning and open to trying out new technologies in the future.

• Quality Advocate: You care about quality and clarity: in code, in Git commits, in the documentation, and in daily communication. You consider a task only done when appropriate tests have been written.

Your training goal for your first 6 months

• Ownership: You share ownership of the machine application, you are able to understand its architecture and deliver on product requirements and features as well as improving testability and functionality.

• Service Support: You participate in the service duty rotation, coming in close contact with the service team to help out with any issues that are reported in the field during a business day.

• EGYM Knowledge: You familiarize yourself with the EGYM ecosystem and the role of the different teams in the software engineering department.

• Team Integration: You become a known and well-respected member of the Machine Software domain and the engineering department.
