The purpose of the European Key Accounts (EKA) Team is to enable iconic brands to connect seamlessly with people sustainably, positioning CHEP as an essential partner in top-performing supply chains.
Scope
- Portfolio of EKA customers within EMENA: US$ > 50M revenue, operating in over 20 countries.
Major / Key Accountabilities
- Engage with internal stakeholders (e.g., countries, departments) and external contacts (e.g., key European customers, third parties) to ensure visibility, increase business potential, and maintain account profitability.
- Develop and manage the customer Joint Business Plan (JBP), including detailed action plans and tracking progress against targets. Lead JBP projects and coordinate information.
- Identify and develop new service and product opportunities to grow and enhance the business relationship.
- Prepare and coordinate customer tenders.
- Support local markets in managing growth opportunities and implementing new business initiatives.
- Share best practices within the customer organization and EKA community.
- Coordinate NPS surveys and translate feedback into actionable plans and JBPs.
- Build and maintain an internal European-wide network and external customer relationships.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and legislation regarding administration, safety, competition, and commercial dealings.
- Work independently across diverse national and cultural environments, managing time effectively under changing priorities.
- Maintain comprehensive activity tracking to provide a complete view of the JBP.
- Manage monthly reporting activities.
- Coordinate EKAM activities, including regular calls and notes.
- Assist EKAD with meetings, presentations, and business reviews.
- Support credit management activities, including cash collection and coordination with EKAMs.
- Ensure audit planning and completion.
- Monitor European performance metrics (e.g., CT, FTR, on-time payments, volume, spend), anticipating issues and flags.
Skills and Knowledge
- Strong knowledge of sales processes and methodologies, with creativity in lead generation and effective use of CRM tools.
- Excellent solution and value-based selling skills, with experience exceeding targets, preferably in supply chain logistics.
- Ability to ideate with customers and develop compelling value propositions for positive outcomes.
Languages
Desirable: Fluency in an EU language.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Management preferred.
