BUSINESS UNIT

At HRS, we understand Finance as a value-enabling function and an essential ingredient for our business success. To ensure efficient financial management and control supporting all activities, the department covers responsibilities including Financial and Cash Flow Management, Accounting, Advising, Long-term Financing, Tax Management, Investment Management, Purchasing, Controlling, Budgeting, Forecasting, Financial Reporting, and Analysis. It also supports strategic decision-making for the CEO, Business Unit Leaders, and Managers.

The department operates as a shared service for the HRS Group with a cross-location team of around 50 experts, led by the CFO and his Management Team. They work on standardized workflows to increase efficiency and apply state-of-the-art decision-making tools to foster organizational resilience during rapid change.

POSITION

We are seeking an experienced, engaged, and ambitious Business Unit Controller (all genders) to join our fast-growing organization with a dynamic, fast-moving management team.

CHALLENGE

• Take ownership of the financial controlling and steering of a business unit.
• Challenge the status quo, drive performance, and generate insights.
• Improve and monitor KPIs for business steering.
• Model scenarios and long-term planning; collaborate on budgeting with the BU.
• Control and continuously improve the monthly closing, forecast, and annual budget planning processes.
• Analyze deviations, comment on findings, and derive recommendations for action.
• Present and challenge findings in BU management meetings.
• Consult internal stakeholders.
• Participate in cross-departmental projects and initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Successfully completed studies in business administration with a focus on finance and controlling or a comparable qualification.
• First years of experience in Business Controlling within a SaaS company are highly appreciated.
• Advanced skills in transforming Excel models, e.g., integrating them into BI/Data Warehouse layers.
• Growth mindset, experience in hyper-scaling, hands-on mentality, attention to detail, strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to quickly build credibility and trust across all organizational levels.
• Good presentation skills and ability to create actionable, spot-on presentations.
• Advanced skills in MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, Navision) is a plus.
• Fluent in English, spoken and written.

LOCATION, MOBILITY, INCENTIVE
