Atlas Copco Airpower N.V. is seeking a Business Line Manager for Air and Gas Applications to drive strategic and operational leadership for the business line.

You will own cost and budget management, pursue sustainable growth, and guide a high-performing team while aligning market strategies with corporate objectives. You will oversee product lines such as on-site gas generation and compressors, collaborate with internal stakeholders, and report to senior management.

Business Line Manager Air and Gas Applications (w/m/d)

We are looking for you as Business Line Manager – Air and Gas Applications.

Air and Gas Applications is a division within the Compressor Technique Business Area. It is responsible for the complete product development, sourcing, manufacturing, marketing, sales, and technical support of on-site gas generation systems as well as high-pressure and low-pressure compressors (AGG, OHP, GPP, and OLP).

As Business Line Manager Air and Gas Applications (m/f/d), you will take on the strategic and operational responsibility for your business line, ranging from cost and budget management to profit maximization. Your focus will be on sustainable growth, developing and expanding market-oriented strategies, and leading a high-performing team.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Developing and implementing business strategies for the assigned product lines in alignment with overall company objectives
• Monitoring and analyzing the financial performance of the business line, including budget management, cost control, and profit optimization
• Conducting market research to identify customer needs and further developing products and services accordingly
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers and business partners
• Leading, developing, and motivating your team
• Collaborating closely with internal stakeholders across the organization
• Reporting to senior management and managing business-related projects
• Ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards

What we expect from you:

• An university degree in Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a comparable field
• Industry expertise and a deep understanding of market dynamics as well as customer- and product-specific challenges
• Strong product knowledge and/or the ability to quickly develop expertise in HP, LP, and IG applications
• Proven success in sales or business development within high-pressure and low-pressure compressor technologies or industrial gases
• Strong entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to drive sustainable growth
• Excellent English communication skills for international collaboration
• Ideally, experience in leading teams and organizational units
• Strategic and results-oriented working style with a clear focus on achieving business goals
• Innovative, proactive, and growth-oriented mindset
• Strong negotiation skills and experience working with distributors and sales partners
