We are seeking a highly motivated Business Lawyer (Wirtschaftsjurist) or Paralegal to join our Legal and Compliance team in Frankfurt. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive legal support to our corporate operations, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and contributing to our business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assisting the Company Secretarial Office with the preparation of Governance Board and Committees meetings.
• Providing company secretarial services to European regulated corporate entities together with their branches.
• Assisting in drafting and maintaining corporate governance materials.
• Supporting annual and ad hoc legal and regulatory submissions and commercial register applications/filings.
• Dealing with due diligence requests and general queries in relation to Jefferies European entity information.
• Liaise with external legal counsel, regulatory authorities, auditors as necessary.
• Conducting legal research and analysis.
• Monitor changes in relevant laws and regulations and communicate their potential impact on the company.
• Additional areas for support subject to applicant qualifications and interest, commercial contracts, privacy, strategic projects.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Law ( or equivalent legal professional experience. A Master’s degree ( or additional qualifications in corporate or financial law will be an advantage.
• High attention to detail and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both German and English.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Preferred Attributes:

• Familiarity with the investment banking industry.
• Experience working in an international environment.
