Position
Job Mission:
- Support business steering of Marketing & Sales Directors: As strong business partner lead analysis, evaluation and recommendation of the overall performance of MH Germany business, delivering accurate budget overviews and support Sales & Marketing teams.
- Steering of Budget process: Secures quality, integrity and timing of financial forecast information by providing robust data analysis and support throughout the budgeting process.
- Monitoring and improvement of actual performance: Establishes, maintains and optimizes comprehensive management reports, enabling continuous monitoring and improvement of business performance by providing quality, timely management information and strategic insights.
- Drive Data & BI Management: Transform data into actionable insights by overseeing the development and maintenance of BI tools, databases, and analytics platforms, ensuring a robust framework to analyze trends and performance and promote growth.
Job Responsibilities
Business Controlling
- Support of annual budget and forecast processes, including Last Estimates, R&O according to group guidelines and local strategy
- Develop and comment monthly financial performance reporting for the management team
- Actively monitor and evaluate overall performance of the business to ensure quality of financial information provided to local and international management within prescribed deadlines
- Generate/Coordinate ad hoc analysis on channel, customer or product profitability and support Sales Directors and General Manager in assessing profitability of promotions and other initiatives
- Evaluation of brand and customer investments (ROI calculations)
- Tracking of monthly Overhead and Marketing expenses/activities and organization of regular reviews in order to follow-up budgets
- Monitoring of supply chain costs and identification of improvements
- Business partnering for D2C channels (Retail, Private, e-Business)
- Manage and develop the Business Controlling Intern/VIE
- Support in internal and external audits
Data & BI Management
- Developing and implementing comprehensive business intelligence strategies to support data-driven decision-making
- Overseeing the design, development, and maintenance of data warehouses, dashboards, reports, and other BI tools
- Collaborating with various departments to identify their data analysis needs and deliver actionable insights
- Ensuring the accuracy and integrity of data across all platforms and systems
- Conducting regular audits of BI tools and processes to identify opportunities for improvement
- Leading the interpretation of data analysis results and presenting findings to senior management and stakeholders
- Championing a data-driven culture within the organization, promoting the use of BI insights in everyday business processes
Other projects:
- Assist the team in day-to-day activities, presentations (Business Reviews with Region and Maisons), internal or external requests
- Ad-hoc projects on analysis, business reports, process simplification, and efficiency
Profile
Education/Background:
- Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Finance / Controlling / Business / Accounting
Professional background:
- 4 years’ experience in a Controlling or Business Analyst position
- Previous experience in an FMCG or professional services environment
Profile:
- Blend of a strong financial analyst, a data scientist, and a skilled communicator
- Able to translate complex data into actionable insights that drive business decisions
Technical Skills:
- Data Analysis & Modeling; BI Tools & Technologies (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Qlik); Familiarity with data visualization best practices
- Financial Acumen and solid understanding of accounting principles, financial statements, and financial planning as well as experience with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Systems: Common ERP, MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint etc.)
- Hyperion (Topaz), SAP & Anaplan is a benefit
Soft Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, Ability to present complex data insights in a clear and concise manner to both technical and non-technical audience, Strong presentation skills to effectively communicate findings and recommendations to management
- Strong understanding of business operations and strategy by connecting data insights to business objectives
- Ability to think strategically and identify opportunities for improvement
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to analyse complex issues and develop creative solutions

Languages
Fluency in English is necessary, both oral and written. German and/or French is a plus
