Job Title : Business Development Director, EU

This position is responsible for leading business development activities within a company's division. The role works closely with other team members and senior management to develop and execute strategies for increasing sales in specific geographic areas.

The position manages key accounts and is also responsible for developing new business opportunities. It works proactively with other teams, such as marketing, project management, and technical groups, to ensure objectives are achieved.

This is a remote job that can be performed from home in Germany or Switzerland.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Develop plans and programs to gain market share in existing businesses and increase site penetration of key accounts.
  • Develop strategies and tactics to gain new business.
  • Achieve sales targets for key accounts and new accounts.
  • Record progress of business development activities and provide regular updates to management.
  • Work closely with all business units, project management teams, and marketing to ensure coordination of efforts and good communication with all parties.

Requirements :

  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant industry experience in chemical or pharmaceutical development and / or manufacturing.
  • 5+ years of technical, sales, project management, and / or business development experience.
  • Proven track record of success meeting or exceeding goals / targets.
  • Experience navigating large matrix organizations.
  • Experience developing new accounts through various prospecting tactics.
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Technical guidance and expertise in small molecule process development, pre-formulation developability assessment, formulation development, and clinical supplies.
  • Working knowledge of drug development from IND to NDA.
  • Experience selling products / services with longer sales cycles (9 – 24 months).
  • Strong knowledge of selling skills and selling strategies.
