Business Development Representative

About the Position

You will join an energetic and entrepreneurial sales team, striving to ensure profitable new business growth in Germany.You will generate and convert promising leads, engaging prioritized business opportunities in core target groups, to drive pipeline development and new-businesssales.

Key Responsibilities

  • Focus on growing itslearning in target markets
  • Identify target opportunities
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key decision-makers at schools, educational institutions and municipalities
  • Book meetings with new business opportunities
  • Deliver professional sales presentations, face to face and in web meetings
  • Ensure quarterly and annual revenue goals are met
  • Develop, maintain and report the company’s new business pipeline aligned with company’s sales process
  • Provide input on market needs, related to products, services and partnerships
  • Create an account-based sales & marketing plan in cooperation with Marketing
  • Write and manage tenders, aligned with the global tender process

Formal Requirements

  • A minimum of 3 years' sales experience, preferably software solutions (experience in EdTech is considered a strong merit)
  • Proven track record of successful consultative selling and meeting business targets
  • Experience in using social channels to engage with prospects
  • Experience in public procurement processes
  • Native German language and proficient in English
  • Experience with CRM systems (preferably Salesforce and/or HubSpot)
  • The ability to lead and manage complex sales opportunities, including stakeholder management
  • Academic degree in relevant area is highly meritorious

  • Must be able to travel (primarily within Germany)
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbally and in writing
  • A great listener and relationship builder, that understands customer needs
  • Strong ability to plan, organize and prioritize
  • An energetic networker and team player, with a strong work ethicand goal-oriented mindset, as well as stamina to successfully handle long sales cycles
