A Berlin AI startup with thousands of customers is turning partnerships into a real growth channel, and you’d be its first dedicated owner. There’s no inherited playbook and no layers between you and the decisions. You’ll work directly with the founders, choose the partners worth betting on, and see the results in the pipeline.
My client builds an AI platform that captures the knowledge companies generate in their day-to-day work and makes it structured and usable across the organisation. Growth is strongest among deal teams in private equity, investment banking and M&A. These teams rely on a small circle of software platforms and trusted advisors, so one strong partner can open the door to many target firms. That’s why this role has so much leverage.
- Platform partnerships: Lead relationships with the software deal teams use every day, from joint launches and marketplace listings to co-selling with their sales and customer success teams.
- A new channel: Find and sign consultancies, AI implementation firms and advisory boutiques, then design referral and reseller terms that work for both sides.
- Partner enablement: Create the playbooks, one-pagers and training that partner sales teams actually use.
- Positioning: Work with marketing and sales to sharpen the message for each customer segment and partner, using what you hear in the field.
- Product direction: Bring partner and customer demand to the product team, so the integrations that open the biggest doors get built first.
- Joint campaigns: Run webinars, content, events and customer stories with partners.
- Pipeline and attribution: Track every partner-sourced and partner-influenced deal in the CRM, so it’s clear where to double down.
- The playbook: Turn what works into a repeatable process, so each partner launch is faster than the last.
- You’ve built partnerships or BD that generated pipeline, and you can show the numbers.
- You run a partner pipeline like a sales pipeline, with clear stages, next steps and follow-through.
- You write partner pitches and enablement decks that people actually read.
- You measure yourself on deals, not meetings.
- Building a function without a template sounds like the fun part.
- You’re happy to work from the Berlin office several days a week.
