We are looking for a highly dedicated Business Development Manager to drive direct sales, identify new customers, and develop strategic opportunities within Prediction and Protection systems for rotating assets. This role is essential to develop, maintain, and improve Machinery Health Management (MHM) business in the DACH region (Germany, Austria & Switzerland) with a strong focus on our MHM Online Protection and Condition Monitoring portfolio.

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be :
  1. Achieve and exceed sales, bookings, and gross profit targets for the RS Group’s products, services, and solutions within the defined product groups.
  2. Identify and target potential customers or industry segments through market research, networking, and direct outreach.
  3. Develop and implement a sales strategy focused on direct sales activities, from prospecting to closing deals, while leveraging internal sales resources when beneficial, maintaining independence in sales efforts.
  4. Stay informed about industry trends, market developments, and competitors to refine sales approaches.
  5. Follow strategic goals and initiatives from the RS BU and develop plans to achieve these within the assigned product portfolio to drive growth.
  6. Negotiate business contracts with customers within the delegated authority, including discounts, pricing, and volume structures.
  7. Collaborate closely with the existing SYSS sales force, operations, factories, and global contacts to align efforts and promote the RS MHM Online portfolio effectively.
  8. Track and manage sales opportunities in CRM, ensuring timely follow-ups and deal progression.
  9. Lead price and contract discussions, and manage the closing process to secure profitable deals.
  10. Promote a “Think Customer” culture in all aspects of the role.

For This Role, You Will Need :
  • Experience in indirect sales or business development.
  • Studies in engineering or equivalent experience in industrial companies.
  • Understanding of process industry drivers, plant automation, and decision-making processes.
  • Fluency in German and English.
  • Willingness to travel for customer visits and industry events.
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart :
  • Experience in Condition Monitoring or Machine Protection.
  • Experience working within a matrix organization.
