Avanade is looking for Business Development Directors who are deal hunters, deal makers, originators, and self-starters capable of developing and winning new business in a complex consulting environment with sophisticated technology solutions. This role requires experience in net new sales, selling digital transformation and consulting services (e.g., cloud implementation, business applications integration) to enterprise clients in the Resources & Life Sciences Industry sector. The focus may be on our generic portfolio or specifically on selling ERP or Data and AI services.

Ideal candidates will have superb interpersonal skills and the ability to establish strong relationships within new and existing clients within the Microsoft ecosystem.

  • Experience selling within the Resources & Life Sciences Industry market, capable of engaging with C-suite executives in both business and industry contexts.
  • Experience selling across multiple solution areas (Apps & Infra, Modern Workplace, Business Applications, Data & AI), preferably involving enterprise-scale consulting engagements and global delivery, with an emphasis on Business Value solutions infused by GenAI and Copilot.
  • Experience working with Microsoft and other partners to expand their business.
  • Ability to anticipate, identify, and implement effective solutions to overcome obstacles.
  • Proven success as a business development hunter with strong closure capabilities.
  • Ability to act as a trusted advisor, addressing clients’ business needs.
  • Proven track record of driving sales in a solutions-selling environment at the C-suite level, positioning value-based contracts aligned with customer KPIs.
