Responsibilities
- Assess the energy landscape of Germany, including decarbonization strategies that open up markets for low-carbon fuels such as hydrogen and its derivatives.
- Monitor regulatory and policy frameworks, subsidy support mechanisms, and carbon markets, providing timely insights to HQ to capitalize on early opportunities.
- Conduct market research and analyze demand-supply scenarios for low-carbon hydrogen and derivatives at a granular level. This includes geographical and sectoral demand centers as well as competitive supply-side analysis, including pricing.
- Assist in formulating, implementing, and executing Germany-specific strategies for the commercialization of ACWA Power’s green hydrogen and derivative products.
- Identify, evaluate, and develop new business opportunities in Germany for ACWA Power to:
- Promote offtake agreements for ACWA Power’s green hydrogen and derivatives under long-term contracts.
- Attract German equity partnerships for investment in ACWA Power’s green hydrogen and derivatives projects.
- Support the project finance team in securing financing for ACWA Power’s green hydrogen and derivatives projects.
- Assist the development team in establishing German partnerships for technology collaboration and EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction).
Support and lead commercial contract negotiations, including Term Sheets, Heads of Agreements, and Sale & Purchase Agreements.Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.QUALIFICATIONS :
- Fluent in German.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or business.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in a commercial role with a proven track record in the German energy market.
- Experience in developing fuel supply chains for power and industrial clients is preferred.
- Expertise in international business and managing cross-cultural professional relationships, both internally and externally.
- Strong understanding of long-term commercial contracts and financial transactions.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with a willingness to travel.
