Business Development Manager (f / m / d) Modernizations & Upgrades – Siemens Energy
Siemens Energy is seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager to join our SE TI STG S FML team. In this role, you will support our global sales team on growth initiatives, with a primary focus on modifications, upgrades, and service programs for our industrial steam turbine fleet. You will empower the sales team through training, marketing campaigns, market intelligence, process improvements, and project management for critical initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Lead initiatives to identify and capitalize on new business opportunities within the industrial steam turbine market, focusing on modifications, upgrades, and service programs
- Formulate and implement effective market strategies using data-driven insights and direct sales approaches, including using Salesforce for tracking and analysis
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal sales teams to foster collaboration and drive customer satisfaction
- Conduct thorough market research to understand industry trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory requirements, ensuring informed decision-making
- Create and deliver training programs and marketing materials to enhance the capabilities of the client-facing team and improve overall sales effectiveness
- Actively participate in client meetings and presentations, effectively communicating the value proposition of our products and services
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field; an MBA or consulting experience is a plus
- Minimum of 10 years of proven experience in sales / marketing and project development in the industry / technical sector, building long-term relationships with clients, showcasing a passion for customer success
- In-depth knowledge of steam turbines and their industrial applications and relevant industries, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical audience
- Exceptional social skills and capabilities to communicate, demonstrating effectiveness in engaging with partners at all levels, business English a must
- Willingness to work remotely and travel internationally as needed to meet client demands and support business objectives
