A leading genomic service provider is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive initiatives in the Food and Environment sectors. The ideal candidate will oversee market strategy, establish client relations, and negotiate deals. A background in genomics and previous sales experience is desired. Additional language skills are a plus, and travel within Europe is required.

Eurofins Genomics has established over the last years a substantial amount of business in Food field and is starting in Environment field. In order to boost this business and push it to a completely new level, Eurofins Genomics is now reorganizing its approach and is therefore looking for a Business Development Manager to independently drive this initiative. The role combines business development work with classical sales tasks. Responsibilities include:
The ideal candidate has a high level of energy combined with a solid knowledge about biology and in particular genomics. He or she has collected already some experience in the Food market and is excited to develop this business further for Eurofins Genomics. Seniority and long-term experience in the Food field is a plus, but not mandatory. eDNA knowledge is also an advantage.
The candidate is excited to build something new, including the willingness to drive everything from developing the necessary marketing material, through establishing a network with key opinion leaders in the industry, to direct sales in the field. The candidate is willing to travel 30% up to 50% of the time across Europe. The candidate is fluent in English; additional language skills in German/French are a plus. He or she has a background in genetics, genomics or other life sciences.
Location: The candidate needs to be based in Europe or UK close to an international airport and a well-connected train station.
