A leading company in next-generation battery materials is seeking a Business Development Manager for the EV battery value chain. This strategic role focuses on driving growth through market development and deep engagement with stakeholders across Europe. Ideal candidates will possess a combination of technical sales expertise and significant experience in the electric vehicle industry, with a focus on building long-term relationships. This position requires fluency in German and willingness to travel extensively across Europe.
Job Title: Business Development Manager – EV Battery Value Chain
Location: Germany – Any City (Remote with extensive travel across Europe)
Type: Full-Time | Permanent
Salary Range: USD 100,000 – 120,000 + Variable Bonus (10–15%)
(Exact compensation to be discussed verbally with shortlisted candidates)
Work Authorization Requirement: EU Citizens with fluent German only
Role Summary: We are partnering with a global leader in next-generation battery materials to recruit a Business Development Manager. This strategic role focuses on the EV battery value chain, driving growth across Europe through customer acquisition, market development, and deep technical engagement with stakeholders.
The ideal candidate brings a strong blend of technical sales expertise, EV segment understanding, and stakeholder engagement skills to accelerate commercial success across the battery materials ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead commercial initiatives in the battery and EV materials sector across Europe
Drive B2B business development with OEMs, cell manufacturers, pack integrators, and related stakeholders
Build and manage a pipeline of opportunities from prospecting to conversion
Understand the technical aspects of nano-silicon and battery material products
Translate customer needs into actionable input for product and development teams
Define and execute strategic sales plans to enter and expand new markets
Represent the company at tradeshows, conferences, and industry forums
Support new product validation and customer onboarding processes
Establish a strong market presence and help position the company as a thought leader in the sector
Required Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Process Engineering, or similar
7–10 years of experience in technical B2B Sales and Business Development
Proven experience in the battery value chain or electric vehicle industry
Deep understanding of battery materials and their application
Strategic sales planning, channel development, and market expansion skills
Track record of stakeholder engagement and building long-term client relationships
Strong communication skills with fluency in German and English
Willingness to travel extensively across Europe
Minimum 2 years' tenure in recent roles (job stability required)
