We are seeking dynamic and experienced individuals to contribute to identifying, pursuing, and winning new business opportunities within the European and global space sectors.

What you´ll do

• Develop and implement business strategies
• Conduct market research on trends, competition, and partnership opportunities.
• Proactively identify and qualify new opportunities in satellite operations, ground segment engineering, and software services.
• Serve as lead author or contributor for technical and commercial proposals.
• Negotiate contract terms, pricing, and deliverables.
• Lead and coordinate bid and proposal effort with technical teams.
• Maintain and expand relationships with existing key clients.
• Drive new partnerships, particularly in NewSpace.
• Represent SSC group at industry events, conferences.
• Work closely with senior management to align business development initiatives with the company’s strategic direction and financial objectives.
• Track market and technology developments (e.g., cloud-based solutions, automation, advanced analytics).
• Contribute to the company’s reputation as a thought leader.

What we are looking for

• A degree in Engineering (preferably Aerospace Engineering or a related technical discipline)
• Fluent in English (spoken/written); German or other European languages advantageous.
• Experience in a business development or similar commercial role within the space sector. Demonstrable experience in securing contracts with institutional and commercial clients.
• Solid understanding of spacecraft operations, ground infrastructure, mission planning, and related engineering and software services and with ground segment software solutions.
• Proven record in securing contracts from institutional or commercial/NewSpace clients.
• Skilled negotiator and established network of contacts within the European/global space industry.
• Familiarity with SaaS, OaaS, and other emerging NewSpace trends.
• Customer-focused, with strong presentation abilities.
• Willingness to travel frequently.
