Overview

Business Development Manager – Large Molecule CDMO (Remote, Europe)

We’re seeking a motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to grow partnerships and manage accounts within the large molecule CDMO sector. This role is ideal for someone with a strong scientific background and a proven track record of sales success in biopharmaceutical services.

Scope of work includes (but is not limited to):

  • Monoclonal Antibodies (mAbs)
  • Recombinant Proteins
  • Cell & Gene Therapies
  • mRNA & DNA Therapies
  • Antibody-Drug Conjugates (ADCs)
  • Vaccines
  • Peptides & Oligonucleotides

What the role involves:

  • Identifying and developing new customer opportunities across the biopharma space.
  • Building and expanding long-term relationships with key accounts.
  • Meeting revenue targets and driving strategic growth initiatives.
  • Preparing tailored proposals, negotiating contracts, and securing business wins.
  • Maintaining market knowledge of pipelines and trends across all large molecule modalities.
  • Representing the company at industry events, client visits, and facility tours.
  • Working closely with internal operations and project teams to ensure delivery of client needs.

What we’re looking for:

  • A degree in a scientific discipline (chemistry, biology, pharmacy or related).
  • Minimum 5 years in CMO/CDMO sales (biologics, cell & gene, peptides, or nucleotides).
  • Understanding of the drug development process from preclinical through to commercial.
  • Proven ability to generate new business and manage key accounts.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills in English (additional languages a plus).
  • Self-driven, collaborative, and customer-focused approach.
  • Ability to travel across Europe for meetings, conferences, and client visits.

This is a remote position open to candidates based anywhere in Europe.
