Job Description:

We are Kintiga, a pan-European specialist that partners with ambitious health technology developers through the complex journey to achieve successful patient access across Europe, with our tailored approach, global perspective and local expertise.

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Business Development Director with strong expertise in Market Access and Pricing to drive revenue growth and strategic partnerships across Europe, especially the DACH region. This key leadership role involves managing client relationships, leading account development, executing growth strategies, identifying new market opportunities, and delivering impactful proposals and presentations. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills in German and English, deep knowledge of the biotech and pharmaceutical industry, and a strong understanding of HTA requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

General

  • Serves as the face of Kintiga, representing the company's culture, vision, mission and values.
  • Builds relationships across internal teams to guide sustainable, long-term growth.
  • Fosters and works to maintain an entrepreneurial growth culture across BD team.
  • Ongoing review and analysis of market trends, competitor offerings, and industry best practices to inform proposal content.
  • Stay up to date with HTA and regulatory changes and advancements in the pharmaceutical industry.

Business Development

  • Commercial development of new accounts including client targeting, account strategy, and identifying and progressing opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Technical Delivery teams to identify and pursue new and current client business opportunities.
  • Engage with clients to understand their needs, address their questions, and gather feedback on proposals.
  • Work with BD Operations, Project Managers, and Delivery Lead for proposal development, including project scoping and pricing.
  • Develop and deliver pitch presentations in partnership with Marketing, technical experts, and project teams.
  • Identify opportunities for webinars and presentations to increase Kintiga's profile and standing in the sector.
  • Attend industry conferences to develop relationships and identify leads.
  • Identify opportunities for organic growth within existing client accounts, in conjunction with Delivery Leads.
  • Oversee the execution of new client coordination, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Address issues during scoping and proposal processes proactively.
  • Potential billable work focused on commercial strategy and early access, based on client needs and expertise.

Strategic Planning

  • Support and execute strategic plans for client accounts, tracking new markets and trends, and proposing new products, services, and partnerships.
  • Contribute to company-wide strategies to drive growth and profitability.
  • Develop and manage account budgets, monitor financial performance, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Require at least Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Business, Communications or related field with significant experience in Market Access.
  • Fluent in German and English.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, market access, or related roles within the European pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
  • Strong understanding of the European pharmaceutical and biotech sectors, including medical, regulatory, and market access landscapes.
  • Proven success in client relationship management, business growth, and revenue achievement.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, capable of handling multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Strategic and analytical thinking skills for developing and implementing business strategies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with CRM and proposal management software.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills for stakeholder engagement at all levels.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently and in teams.
  • Availability to travel as needed.
