Title: Business Development Account Manager

Location: Frankfurt am Main (hybrid and remote - based in Germany)

Salary: €50,000

We are currently recruiting for a German Speaking Business Development Account Manager to join our Business Development team.

This role will require an individual who will proactively engage and convert hot new business leads. They will conduct quality customer conversations to fact find and understand their needs and upsell and cross sell solutions.

The successful Business Development Officer will need to possess excellent communication and customer service skills as well as strong commercial acumen to proactively engage and drive new business opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the lead point of contact for all customer account management matters.
  • Negotiate contracts and close agreements to maximise profits.
  • Develop trusted advisor relationships with key accounts, customer stakeholders and executive sponsors.
  • Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives.
  • Forecast and track key account metrics (e.g. quarterly sales results and annual forecasts)Prepare reports on account status.
  • Collaborate with sales team to identify and grow opportunities within territory.
  • Assist with challenging client requests or issue escalations as needed.
  • Maintain close relationship with partner, vendors and suppliers as appropriate.
  • Keeping abreast of both internal and external developments within the E-commerce world to ensure a working knowledge of sellers and industry.
  • Supervising and supporting the work of more juniors members of the business development team.

Essential skills, knowledge and experience

  • Experience in business development role – minimum 5 years..
  • Educated to degree level – BSc/BA in Business Management to related degree.
  • Excellent communication skills in German & English (both verbal and written).
  • Ability to deal with stakeholders both internally and externally.
  • Customer service skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Organised with proven ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Confident, professional, and friendly with a positive approach.
