About The Role
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying, developing, and managing relationships with key accounts and distribution partners in targeted international markets. This role requires a dynamic, strategic thinker with a strong understanding of the luxury optical landscape. You will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth, brand positioning, and long-term partnerships in key regions.
Responsibilities
- Account Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing international key accounts and distributors, ensuring consistent brand representation and sales performance.
- Market Analysis, Targeting & Development: Conduct in-depth market research to identify high-potential segments and accounts. Use insights to Identify and evaluate new business opportunities and assess customer needs, market gaps, and emerging trends within targeted international markets, particularly in Asia, Europe, and the Middle East.
- Sales Strategy & Execution: Develop tailored go-to-market strategies per region, set and deliver sales targets, negotiate commercial terms, and ensure profitability.
- New Business Acquisition: Proactively seek and engage new business opportunities within target markets. Build and manage a pipeline through outreach, networking, and strategic prospecting.
- Trade Marketing: Support in planning and executing trade marketing initiatives that drive visibility, demand, and sell-through across channels.
- Distributor Support: Provide strategic guidance, sales tools, training, and marketing support to distributors to help drive growth and optimize brand visibility.
- CRM Management: Maintain up-to-date records in the CRM system to ensure accurate tracking of leads, opportunities, and customer interactions. Use CRM data to support forecasting, pipeline management, and performance reporting.
- Forecasting & Reporting: Monitor sales performance, provide accurate forecasts, and report on KPIs to senior management.
- Brand Stewardship: Ensure that partners uphold brand standards in merchandising, pricing, and customer experience.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, product development, and operations to align market needs with company capabilities.
- Travel: Frequent international travel (30-50%) to attend trade shows, build relationships via partner meetings, and store visits.
- Budget: Ensure that all commercial activities meet or improve on budget, cost, volume and efficiency targets.
