Business Developer Wood DACH

As Business Developer Wood DACH, you are responsible for the sales and marketing activities of UNILIN’s Parquet division with the objective of expanding the market share in your respective region. Working alongside other members of the Business Development team, you will actively prospect potential customers. You will also work closely with HQ and the factory in Malaysia. Your focus will be on building long-term relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

Main focus areas:
  1. Strategy: Analyze the region and prepare the regional strategic plan for parquet. Gather market intelligence and analyze the competitive landscape. Assess the margin implications and business potential of different customers.
  2. Prospection: Implement the plan by actively prospecting new customers. Expand the customer base and business footprint for Unilin parquet division in the region to grow market share. Negotiate commercial agreements, including pricing, payment terms, and rebates.
  3. Account management: Convert prospects into key accounts and maintain those accounts for long-term growth. Collaborate with product management, supply chain, and factory teams to align sales with product and operational strategies. Build effective, lasting relationships with customers.
  4. Other: Develop product knowledge to become an expert and advocate in the wood category. Attend regular sales meetings to discuss short, mid, and long-term business plans. Collaborate with the existing sales team within Unilin Flooring, leveraging their contacts and network.
Who are you?

Educated to a degree level in a commercial or business-related discipline or equivalent through experience. You have an appetite for "knocking on doors" and creating new opportunities, while focusing on building valuable relationships with existing accounts.

Experience in a field-based territory sales role within the flooring/building/home improvement sector is essential, with a good understanding of routes to market. Willing to travel 50% of the time.

You handle complexity well and know how to prioritize. You are results-oriented, a good communicator, and fluent in German and English. You are based in Germany or Austria. #LI-LV3
