A leading company in home furnishing seeks a Business Developer to lead a microteam in Dortmund. The role involves developing supplier partnerships, creating production calculations, and ensuring cost efficiency while promoting sustainability. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and communication skills, with a passion for business and production technologies.
At IKEA, we see things a little differently. We onboard our suppliers as partners with whom we create long-term relationships. We want them to grow with us, become more efficient, and achieve affordable sustainability.
We believe in you! You will have the privilege and responsibility to belong to a diverse team and work with world-class suppliers while finding innovative ways to drive the business for IKEA.
We grow with you! Through regular informal talks with your manager, you can explore your development and career opportunities, and we will support you along the way. We embrace making mistakes and learning from them. For us at IKEA, that is the best way forward.
As a Business Developer, you will be an informal leader of a 3-member microteam, consisting of a Production Engineer, who manages production process and quality, and a Supply Planner, who handles logistics. Based on analysis, you will develop an annual action plan to reduce production costs and develop the business within the framework of sustainability and ethical business practices.
We offer varied work tasks both in the office and at IKEA suppliers, within a friendly, non-hierarchical, and international team environment. You will have access to a wide range of education and self-development opportunities and are encouraged to contribute your unique skills to IKEA's future growth.
You will work in a multicultural team based in Dortmund and Älmhult, responsible for suppliers in Germany and Poland. Our product ranges include PAX and METOD, produced from materials like melamine-faced chipboard and wrapped profiles. You will have the opportunity to impact the largest category at IKEA, working within well-defined processes while also challenging and improving them daily. People development is central to Category Foil on Board, and we actively support growth for team members willing to go the extra mile.
Please submit your application, including your CV and a motivation letter in English, no later than 23rd May 2025. We are eager to learn why you would be a good fit for this role.
