This is the job

As a Business Consultant (f/m/x) within the Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI) vertical, you’ll play a key role in both pre-sales and project delivery. You'll work closely with strategic clients, focusing on three core areas:

1. Pre-sales and Up-sales: Engage with our largest and most strategic clients to identify opportunities and craft technology solutions that align with their business objectives. In some cases, you’ll follow through into the project, ensuring strategic continuity during the first 3–6 months.
2. Service Catalogue Ownership: Own and develop the BFSI services within our global service catalogue, ensuring they are up to date with market trends and emerging technologies. You will drive innovation, ensuring our services evolve with industry and technology shifts.
3. Thought Leadership: As a thought leader, you’ll represent Qinshift by delivering high-impact presentations, speaking at conferences, and contributing to industry white papers and blog posts. You’ll help shape the conversation around digital transformation in the banking sector.

This role is particularly exciting because you will be the first Business Consultant within the BFSI vertical at Avenga xQinshift. While we have many talented professionals working in this space, this position requires someone with an entrepreneurial mindset who thrives in building something new from the ground up. You’ll have the opportunity to shape and define the role, while drawing on your experience to establish a strong presence within the vertical and the broader Business Consultancy team.

Your responsibilities will also include performing in-depth market analysis, understanding regulatory shifts, and offering strategic insights into how our clients can adapt and thrive. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to create tailored solutions and provide high-quality advisory and training to our clients.

You will join the Business Consultancy team in our CTO organization, a global community of experts within various industry verticals. As part of the BFSI vertical, your key stakeholders will be in the banking sector, with close collaboration from cross-functional teams across Qinshift. You will report to Liselott Lading, Director of Business Consultancy.

Together, we aim to be the leading business consultancy in the tech industry, bridging the gap between business and technology to drive impactful results for our clients.

This is you

We are seeking an experienced professional with 8-10 years in banking, specifically in digital transformation and organizational change. You’ll have hands-on experience in areas such as retail/SB/SME/corporate lending, risk, investment, or asset management, with a focus on the European market.

• You excel in translating banking concepts into actionable digital strategies, with proven success in business transformation.
• You possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, identifying opportunities for growth and optimization within complex financial ecosystems.
• You have excellent communication skills and are comfortable engaging with clients at both the strategic and operational levels.
• Public speaking, writing thought leadership pieces, and networking come naturally to you.

Required skills:

• 8-10 years of banking experience in Europe, with a focus on digital transformation and business development.
• Comprehensive understanding of banking processes, systems, and regulatory landscapes.
• Strong consulting skills with the ability to translate business needs into technology solutions.
• German and English proficiency at C1-C2 level.
• B/B-1 level management experience.
