We are looking to hire a BU Controller & Finance Manager Germany (m/w/d) in Hallbergmoos, Munich area, to start at the earliest possible date. Are you seeking a new challenge within Finance/Controlling? This role might be for you! We look forward to receiving your application.

The business unit Normstahl Crawford within SDC serves the indirect sales channel. The product range includes industrial sectional doors, roller doors, automation products, docking equipment, and residential garage doors with accessories.

Role Summary

This position acts as both a Business Controller for the Head of BU Normstahl Crawford and a Finance Manager Germany for the Country Manager Germany. The incumbent will deliver timely and accurate Finance and Controlling reports, KPIs, and analyses.

Reporting to the Head of BU Normstahl Crawford and the Country Manager Germany, the role is part of the BU management team.

Key Responsibilities

BU Controller (ca. 65%)

• Prepare reports and analyses for BU management regarding commercial activities.
• Lead discussions on reporting matters with the BU Head and country entities’ finance teams.
• Organize and guide the preparation of plans, budgets, and forecasts for BU entities.
• Analyze monthly results and support BU entities in business reviews and board meetings, including KPI review.
• Monitor performance against plans/forecasts and report deviations.
• Assist BU entities with controlling activities and improvement actions.
• Identify reporting requirements and standardize reports and solutions.
• Participate in SDC EMEA / BU projects, including business case reviews.
• Support the business in achieving financial objectives.
• Ensure compliance with local reporting laws and internal guidelines.

Finance Manager Germany (ca. 35%)

• Prepare and conduct business reviews with the Country Manager.
• Ensure management and reporting of operating figures according to group standards, including reconciliation from local HGB/UGB to IFRS.
• Support forecasts, budgets, reporting, and analysis.
• Manage bookkeeping in line with regulations and oversee intra-group transfers.
• Handle local reporting, VAT, ZM, Intrastat, and prepare financial statements and tax calculations.
• Collaborate with external partners like tax consultants and auditors.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and guidelines.
• Proactively identify improvements and lead change processes.
• Manage one operational accountant, including holiday cover.

Requirements

• Degree in Finance, Controlling, or similar; Certified Accountant qualification is advantageous.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in Finance/Controlling within an international matrix organization.
• Fluent German (C2), very good English (B2); other languages are a plus.
• Proficient in ERP, BI tools, MS Office, and consolidation applications like HFM; experience with M3 (Infor) is a plus.
• Knowledge of IAS/IFRS standards and consolidation principles.
• Valid European driving license.
