In 2025, the world will come to the Rhine and Ruhr region to celebrate sport, science, and culture. Up to 8,500 athletes and officials from around 150 nations will compete in six cities for 12 days across 18 different sports. This region, with Europe's densest university landscape and numerous sports clubs, sets the standards for this event.

To strengthen our team, we are looking for a Broadcast Operator (m/f/d) for the period from 13 to 28 July 2025. This is a freelance position (fee-for-service contract) with the implementing company of the Rhine-Ruhr 2025 FISU World University Games.

The contract is temporary, from 13.07. to 28.07.2025. The position is within the Broadcast department, and you will be part of the Host Broadcast Core Team. Deployment dates and locations vary by sport and include:

• Essen: International Broadcast Centre (IBC)
• Duisburg: Opening
• Berlin: Diving & Swimming

Responsibilities:

• Operating broadcast systems for LIVE (vision mixer, camera, EVS, etc.) and non-live (Premiere Pro, IP Director, camera, etc.) productions
• Mixing live productions and editing in post-production
• Producing live and non-live content
• Managing and monitoring production elements

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in English required; German is a plus
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Experience with live production equipment (vision mixer, EVS, etc.) and non-live tools (Premiere Pro, IP Director, content management systems)
• Structured experience as a VTM, especially for sports events
• Reliability
• Knowledge of RR2025 sports is a bonus

The compensation is a project fee based on the number of working days, sport demands, and your experience. Travel costs are included in the fee. Please note that the fee covers travel expenses, which will not be reimbursed separately.
