As a Brand Marketing Lead at Kleinanzeigen, you will play a crucial role in executing our brand and marketing strategies, contributing to impactful campaigns across various channels and audiences. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure creative consistency and drive brand distinction in a dynamic market. This role is ideal for a proactive and experienced marketer eager to make a tangible impact on a leading platform.

We are looking for a Brand Marketing Lead to join our Marketing team.

What you’ll do & Who you are

  • Brand Strategy & Development: Bring our brand to the next level, shaping our brand marketing strategy and translating it into a cross-channel impact-driven media strategy.

  • Strategic Translation: Understand and translate broader Kleinanzeigen, Business Area/Business Unit, and Product strategies into actionable and impactful marketing executions, collaborating closely with marketing, business unit, and product teams.

  • Campaign Planning & Execution: Lead the development and execution of high-impact brand and marketing campaigns (creative, content, social, etc.) across diverse audiences (C2C and B2C), categories, and channels, leveraging user insights and strategic thinking. Set the right goals for our brand marketing campaigns, define KPIs and ambition levels, measure, learn, and optimize.

  • Support Growth Initiatives: Support the growth of new segments (audiences, categories, verticals) and business opportunities (promotions, features, and services) through strong execution, working in close collaboration with other teams and aligning with a one-brand approach.

  • Brand Consistency: Uphold and ensure the guardianship of our brand guidelines, driving creative consistency and coherency in collaboration with creative and other marketing teams.

  • Performance Focus: Take responsibility for the effective and efficient execution of your projects, focusing on measurable impact and financial responsibility.

  • Drive Brand Distinction: Actively identify and support initiatives that drive brand distinction, particularly targeting younger audiences and relevant professional customers, to help Kleinanzeigen win in a competitive environment.

  • Agency Leadership: Lead the creative agency to develop brilliant creative execution. Lead our media agency to develop, plan, and coordinate x-channel brand media strategies, including off- and online channels (i.e., TV, dOOH, online video/display, social).

  • Budget & Media Management: Own and allocate our brand marketing budget. Coordinate media planning for different business-relevant topics (C2C and B2C) to ensure single-minded communication to the customer. Plan, manage, and execute within project budgets, and manage contracts and POs.

  • Team Leadership & Development: Lead, build and develop a team of 6 brand and media managers, providing guidance, growth opportunities and support to ensure successful project delivery.

What we are looking for:

  • BA/BS degree is required (postgraduate or professional degrees a plus)

  • You have experience in leading a team (of at least 3-5 directs)

  • You have solid professional experience preferably in creative agency, e-commerce and online marketplace

  • Very good understanding of marketing strategies through the funnel: acquisition, retention, on-platform, off-platform and across audiences (C2C, B2C)

  • You have solid online and offline marketing experience and profound knowledge of media planning, media buying and brand marketing metrics

  • Knowledge and understanding of marketing ROI thinking and tooling across upper and lower funnel

  • You have solid knowledge and experience in creative execution together with creative agencies

  • Your sense for visual and verbal communication is excellent

  • As a person you are ambitious yet unpretentious with a “can do mentality”

  • You are fully fluent in German and English

  • A self-starter with the ability to take ownership and be accountable for tangible outcomes
